Arvil Allen Weathers

FAIRHOPE, AL Arvil Allen Weathers, Age 85, a native of Columbus, MS, and a resident of Fairhope, AL, died on Friday, January 28, 2011 at Fairhope, AL. Mr. Weathers was a WW II Veteran who served with the 101st Air Borne, graduate of Mississippi State University with a BS Degree in accounting. He retired after twenty-five years of service with Continental Grain Company as a Commercial Credit Manager, he was active in his church and was involved with many civic organizations. He is survived by his wife, Margaret Otheal Betts Weathers of Fairhope, AL; one stepson, Thomas E. (Sandy) Norwood of Foley, AL; three grandchildren, Thomas Christopher (Suzy) Norwood of Oxford, MS, Henry Alan (Christie) Norwood of Columbus,MS and Gayla Davis (Mac) of Kingwood, TX; four great grandchildren; three step grandchildren, Troy (Tracy) White, Page (Rudy) Cruz, and Tucker Moore all of Fairhope, AL; seven step great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 31, 2011 at 11:00am at the chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Fairhope. The family will receive friends on Monday, at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Fairhope from 10:00am until time of the service. Graveside services and interment will be held on Tuesday, February 01, 2011at 2:00pm at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery, Columbus, MS. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to the First Baptist Church of Fairhope, Building Fund.
