Joseph Devereaux Bemis

FAIRHOPE , AL Joseph Devereaux Bemis, age 86, a longtime resident of Fairhope , AL , passed away Friday, February 11, 2011, in Bay Minette.  He was a U.S. Navy Veteran of WWII.  Mr. Bemis was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Telephone Pioneers, Elks Lodge, VFW, and American Legion.   He is survived by his son, Devereaux Bemis of Mobile , AL , 2 daughters, Sheila Murray of Fairhope , AL , Karen Bemis of Rio Rancho, NM,   3 grandchildren, Shelby (Chris) Murphree of Fairhope , AL , Joshua (Corrina) Murray of Mobile, AL, and Joseph Murray of Fairhope , AL . Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, February 14, 2011 at 11:00 am from Belforest Catholic Cemetery . In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to The Haven, 559 S.
