Carolyn Lee Borne "Keigh" Hartdegen

FAIRHOPE, ALCarolyn Lee Borne "Keigh" Hartdegen, 75, of Fairhope, AL. Passed away April 30, 2011 surrounded by her loving children. Her warm and generous spirit inspired the lives of everyone she met; her humor brought smiles and joy to all. Her family was her passion; the Alabama Crimson Tide and the New Orleans Saints her "pride and joy" and her sense of compassion was the gift she shared with the world. Born October 4, 1935 in New Orleans, LA, to Adelard F. and Leonie Bonnet Borne, she lived in the area until 1968 when she and her family moved to Birmingham, AL, and in 1978, to Oxford, AL. After brief residences in Columbus, OH and Alpharetta, GA she moved to Fairhope, AL in 2000. She is survived by her four children and 9 grandchildren: Pamela Hartdegen Lindsay, her husband Mark and their daughter, Michelle, of Frisco, TX ; Brian Hartdegen, his wife Candy and their children Matthew and Joshua of Oxford, AL; Stephen A. Hartdegen and his children: Christopher, Alyse, Brianna, Rachel, Jacob and Noah of Dallas, GA; Cherilyn M. Hartdegen of Fairhope, AL; Brothers, Ronald F. Borne of Oxford, MS, Alan B. Borne of Apopka, FL and Barry M. Borne of Mandeville, LA; the father of her children Stanford A. Hartdegen and his wife Darlo of Talledega, AL. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 5, 2011, at 1:00 pm, from the chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home in Fairhope. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services. Graveside services will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
