Ronald Terry Crawford

DAPHNE, AL Ronald Terry Crawford “Ted”, age 74, a resident of Spanish Fort, AL, passed away Saturday, October 8, 2011. Mr. Crawford was a 1956 graduate of Vigor High School where he played football, basketball and track. He continued his education at the University of Southern Mississippi where he was a member of the 1958 National Championship football team. He was also a longtime member of the Tinker-Coon Hunting and Fishing Club, and former owner of Crawford Groceries. Mr. Crawford was retired from W.S. Newell Construction. Ted is preceded in death by his parents, Marion Edward Sr. and Francis Annett Crawford, and brother Marion Edward Crawford Jr. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Janie Crawford, Three sons, Terry (Tonya) Crawford of Fairhope, John (Pam) Crawford of Spanish Fort, and Stephen Crawford of Tupelo, MS. One brother, Bill (Betty) Crawford of Fairfax, VA. Eight grandchildren, Trent, Tyler, Tucker, Christopher, Johnny, Georgia Kate, Dawson and Evie. Many nieces, nephews, foster grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Daphne, AL on Tuesday, October 11, 2011, from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Funeral services will be held from the chaple of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Daphne, AL, on Wednesday, October 12, 2011 at 10:00 A.M. Interment will follow at Jubilee Memorial Gardens, Daphne, AL.
