Ruby Wentz Wharton

SPANISH FORT, AL Ruby Wentz Wharton died on 12/18/11 after bringing happiness and joy to those who knew her over her 88 years of life.  She was born and raised in Winston-Salem , NC , where she met the love of her life, William L. Wharton, Jr. to whom she was married until his death in 2008.  She will be missed by her children: Mr. and Mrs. William L. Wharton, III of Tuscaloosa, AL, Mr. and Mrs. Robert G Hall, IV, of Philadelphia , PA , and Dr. and Mrs. Marcus Wharton of Charleston , SC , and her grandchildren, Mitchell Wharton, Robert Hall, V, William Hall, Kristina Wharton, and Katherine Wharton, and her great grandson, Robert Hall, VI.  A memorial service will be held for her at Spring Hill Presbyterian Church at 11 AM on Friday 1/6/12.  In lieu of flowers, gifts in her memory should be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation.
