Carrie Mae Huckabee Shiver

SPANISH FORT, AL Mrs. Carrie Mae Huckabee Shiver passed away at home in Spanish Fort, AL on Friday, January 6, 2012, at the age of 94. She was born on Sept. 8, 1917 in Wayne, AL, the daughter of Harrison Norris Huckabee and Lillian Augusta Tucker Huckabee who preceded her in death along with 3 sisters and 3 brothers.  Mrs. Shiver is also preceded in death by her husband, Johnie Buford Shiver and son, Harrison Marion Shiver. She is survived by her daughter, Lillian Shiver Harbison, two grandsons, Mark (Rhonda) Harbison, Lance Harbison, two great grandsons, Caleb and Tucker, all of Spanish Fort, AL,  sisters-in-law, Francis Younce, Marguerite Carlisle, brother-in-law, Henry Shiver, nephew, Harry Huckabee of Linden, AL, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Mrs. Carrie will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 9, 2012 at 11:00 am from the chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home in Daphne, AL. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services Interment will be held in Wilson Cemetery, Spanish Fort, AL. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to Covenant Hospice at 1040 Stanton Rd, Suite D, Daphne, AL 36526.
