Jeffrey Wayne Schmidt

SCHMIDT DAPHNE, AL Mr. Jeffrey Wayne Schmidt, age 51, born in Seguin, TX,  native of Victoria, TX and resident of Daphne, AL Jeffrey was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church in Daphne, AL. He worked in the offshore business since the age of 18 and was experienced in oil and gas.  He was an avid fisherman, hunter and tennis player. Jeffrey had many friends and was very open minded and friendly, always helped anyone that needed a friend in life. He was most of all proud of his family and enjoyed cheering his children on in sporting events as well as in their life.  Jeffrey was well liked in his personal as well as his professional life. Mr. Schmidt is survived by his wife; Theresa Roberts Schmidt of Daphne, AL; 2 daughters Scheri (Oscar) Mireles of Pearland, TX, Elizabeth Schmidt of Daphne, AL; a son, Richard Schmidt of West Palm Beach, FL;  mother, Grace (Perry) Winkler of Rockport, TX; father, John (Barbara) Schmidt of Victoria, TX; 2 grandchildren Hayden and Pryce Mireles of Pearland, TX; a sister Michelle (Mike) Samford of Victoria, TX; a brother Bradley (Raubin) of Schmidt of Victoria, TX; step sister, Carol Winkler of San Diego, CA and step brother, Tracy Winkler of Houston, TX. Mass of Christian burial will be held Thursday, September 6, 2012 at 11:00 am at Christ the King Catholic Church, Daphne AL.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral mass at the church. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Victoria, TX. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Jeffrey Schmidt Memorial Fund, Wells Fargo, 2535 US Hwy 98, Daphne, AL  36526.
