Evonne Addison Freed

SHREVEPORT, LA Evonne Addison Freed, 99, a resident of Lake Village Health Care, Shreveport, LA, died Tuesday, October 23, 2012 in Shreveport, LA. Evonne was born on Sept 3, 1913, daughter of William Taylor Addison & Lillie Maggie Petty Addison. She was married to Charles L. Freed. She is preceded in death by her parents, nine sisters and brothers, and her husband. She is survived by her nine nieces and nephews.  Merle Brake, Kathryn Littlepage, Sharon Rickie, Wilma Ziehl, Bill Addison, Bruce Addison, Cooper Addison, Ike Carter and Ron Johnson, as well as numerous great nieces and nephews. Evonne taught in several Louisiana Public Schools before going to work for Civil Service.  She and her husband retired in Spanish Fort, Alabama, where they were long time members of Spanish Fort Methodist Church.   After the death of her husband, Evonne moved to Shreveport, Louisiana were she resided in Stiles apartments and Lake Village Health Care. Special Appreciation and thanks to her Friends, Nurse “Dino”, her Sitter Michelle, Nurse Chris, and the Christus Schumpert Hospice. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday October 29, 2012 at 11:00 at the chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home in Daphne Alabama.  The family will receive friends 2 hours prior to services.
