Grady S Strachan

FAIRHOPE, AL   Grady S. Strachan, Sr., age 78, a native of Mobile, AL and a resident of Fairhope, AL, passed away in God’s grace Tuesday, February 5, 2013. Grady attended St. Matthews and McGill High School in Mobile.  He was a dedicated altar boy during his high school years.  Grady loved sports, played in the first Toy Bowl in Mobile, AL.  Grady Always Shared with others his love of the Crimson Tide.  Grady was a member of St. Joan of Arc Church in Mobile, Our Lady of the Gulf Church, in Gulf Shores, for several years and was a current member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Fairhope.   He is survived by his wife and best friend of 53 wonderful years, Nancy Strachan of Fairhope; c hildren, Victoria Strachan of Houston, TX, Leslie (John) Crowley of Mobile, Shirley Ann Anderson of Houston, TX, Paul F. (LeeAnne) Strickland of Fairhope, Grady S. “Chip” Strachan, Jr. of Dallas, TX, Nancy Leigh (Peyton) Cox of George West, TX; e ight grandchildren, Malcom H. W. Stockdale, Jr. of Houston, TX, Mary Kathryn Crowley of Mobile, John James “Jay” Crowley III of Mobile, Sgt. Zachary M. Anderson of Ft. Hood, TX, Mason G. Strickland of Fairhope, Elijah “Eli” H. Strickland of Fairhope, James Peyton Cox III of George West, TX, Madeline R. Cox of George West, TX; o ne great granddaughter, Abigail Grace “Abbey” Anderson of Houston, TX; n ieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.   Memorial services will be held from St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Fairhope, Friday, February 15, 2013, at 11:00am.  The family will receive friends at the church, in the St. Lawrence Room, from 10:00am until the service time.   In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to St. Lawrence Catholic Church, 370 S.
