GULF SHORES, AL Bryan Hal Bennett, age 42, a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Gulf Shores, passed away Monday, March 3, 2014. Bryan was a salesman at J & M Tackle. He attended Ganus High School in New Orleans, LA, graduating in 1989; he went on to attend the University of New Orleans and received his degree in Communications with a minor in Marketing. He was a talented writer and artist, an avid fisherman and he published over 75 articles on fishing. He is survived by his daughter, Maren Bennett of Houston, TX; his parents, Hal & Carolyn Bennett of Gulf Shores; sister, Susan Bennett (Josh Wolf) of Brooklyn, NY; Uncles, Tom Bennett (Lorraine) of Murphy, NC and Tim Bennett (Lynette) of Madison, FL; Great Aunt, Eula Mae Scheinert of Elberta, and nephew, Hugo Bennett-Wolf of Brooklyn, NY. Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 6, 2014 at First Baptist Church in Gulf Shores at 11:00am. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
