SPANISH FORT Alma Elise Sapp Blocker, a native of Graceville, FL, passed away peacefully in Spanish Fort, AL on Tuesday, August 25, 2015. She is preceded in death by her parents Mr. and Mrs. Brantley Brown Sapp (Maxie Alma Worthington). Born July 17, 1931, Elise was one of nine children and is survived by her only remaining sibling James Sapp (Linda) of Bonifay, FL. She is survived by her loving husband COL Clarence Bearl Blocker, USAF, Ret. During their 66 year marriage, they traveled the world extensively and lived in exotic locales such as Thailand, Libya and Turkey. Her children include Janice Blocker Yoder (Byron), Richard Alan Blocker (Tricia), and Carol Blocker Watson (Kelly). She also has three grandchildren: Leslie Yoder du Mont (Robert, III), Zane Byron Yoder, II, Deidre Blocker Fitzpatrick (Simon), and four great grandchildren: Melanie du Mont, Zane Yoder, III, Rowan Fitzpatrick, and Harrison Fitzpatrick. She will be buried on Friday, August 28 at 1:30 p.m. at the AL State Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Spanish Fort, AL with a memorial service following at 3:00 pm in the Pete Allen Room at Westminster Village.
