E. Geoffrey Jeffreys

E. Geoffrey Jeffreys, age 89, born in Manhattan, NY and a longtime resident of Mobile and Daphne, Fairhope, AL, passed away Saturday, September 12, 2015. Mr. Jeffreys earned a geological engineer degree from the Colorado School of Mines, Golden, CO, in 1951 and was a self-employed petroleum consultant.  Geoff was a combat veteran of WWII, a Mason, Shriner and Comic Cowboy.  He held memberships in many professional associations and societies.  While living in Mobile he attended Trinity Episcopal Church where he was a Vestryman and a Senior Warden.  In Daphne he was a member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church. He is survived by his wife, Sandra H. Jeffreys of Fairhope;Daughter, Jeri Lynn Mauldin (William) of Highlands, NC;Son, David Powell Jeffreys (Deborah) of Madison, MS;four grandchildren, Kelsey and Trevor Durrett,Elliott Geoffrey and Nicholas Price Jeffreys;many other relatives and friends. A celebration of life memorial service will be held from the chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Fairhope, Friday, September 18th, 2015, at 2:00pm.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00pm until the service begins. Interment will be held at a later date in St. James Episcopal Church columbarium, in Jackson, MS. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials be made to St. Paul’s Episcopal Church-Eastern Shore, 28788 N.
