Samuel Dennis "Doc" Lyles

HOOVER, AL. Samuel Dennis ”Doc” Lyles, Sr., age 67, a native of Myrtlewood and a resident of Hoover, passed away Saturday, September 19, 2015. Sam was a member of Hunter Street Baptist Church and proudly served in the U.S. Navy. He is survived by his wife Shirley Lyles of Hoover, AL.; son Dennis Lyles of Norfolk, VA.; sister Mary Lyles (John) Garrett of Talladega, AL.; brothers William “Bill” (Joanne) Lyles, Jr. of Rome, GA., Tom (Linda) Lyles of Daphne, AL.; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Hunter Street Baptist Church in Birmingham. Visitation will be held Thursday, September 24, 2015 from 5:00 - 7:00 PM at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home in Daphne. Funeral services will be held, Friday, September 25, 2015 at 11:00 AM from the Chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home in Daphne. Graveside services will follow at 12:30 PM at the Alabama State Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Spanish Fort.
