Thomas Kant

Thomas William Kant, age 57, resident of Phenix City, AL, passed away Saturday, September 19, 2015. Mr. Kant was born in Belleville, NJ on February 19, 1958. He joined the U.S. Army after graduating from Fairhope High School in 1976. He honorably finished his military career in Fort Benning, GA and went on to work for the Burger King Corporation, as area manager until he retired. Mr. Kant enjoyed helping others, spending time with his family and friends. He never met a stranger and was a forever friend to those he came in contact. Mr. Kant was preceded in death by his father, William A. Kant. He is survived by his wife, Linda Kant of Phenix City, AL; his mother, Jane Kant, his brother Honorable Tim Kant and his wife Karla of Fairhope, AL; his nieces, Kari Kant, Washington, DC; Krista Kant, M.D., Clearwater, FL; and his step-daughters Lisa Sewell and Lorena Williamson; grandchildren, Cheyanne and Nathan Williamson of Phenix City, AL. A graveside memorial service will be held at Memory Gardens of Fairhope on Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at 10:00 a.m.  A celebration of life will be held at a later date in Phenix City, AL
