Esther Manning Turner

Esther Manning Turner, age 92, a resident of Fairhope, AL, passed away Thursday, November 6, 2015. She was retired from International Paper Company and was a member of the American Legion Post 199 Fairhope for more than 50 years. She was also a member of O.E. S. for more than 55 years and a member of the International Paper Company “Paper Dolls”. She was class Salutatorian of Excel AL, High School Class of 1939 where she graduated at the age of 16. She is preceded in death by her husband, Andrew J. Turner. She is survived by her daughter, Judy Turner DeWitt of Fairhope; daughters-in-law, Carolyn Turner of Anchorage, AK and Mary Turner of West Point, MS; ten grandchildren; numerous great and great, great grandchildren; many other loving relatives and friends. The family wishes to thank long time care giver and friend, Queenie Atkinson. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Fairhope. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens of Fairhope.
