Esther Elizabeth Robson, Wife, Sister, Mother, Grandmother, Teacher and Patron. She was a resident of Montrose, AL, passed peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Thursday, November 5, 2015. Born in Cleveland, Ohio, she was one of three children born to Robert and Esther Meaker. They preceded her in death as did her brother Robert. She attended Ursuline College where she was president of her class, graduating Summa Cum Laude. She married Jim in 1949, lived in Texas, Louisiana, New Jersey, Connecticut and Pennsylvania before settling in Montrose in 1979. Active in many organizations throughout her life, she was a past President of the Eastern Shore Art Association and a recognized patron of Mobile Opera. She also was involved with several book and study clubs. Esther is survived by her husband, Jim; sister, Mary Gillis of Seattle, WA; sister-in-law, Norma Meaker of Cleveland, OH; four children, Leslie (Lynn) Ely of Atlanta, GA, James (Celeste) Robson of Alamo, CA, Mark (Marlene) Robson of Walnut Creek, CA, and Michael (Deborah) Robson of Spanish Fort, AL; and her beloved ten grandchildren. Visitation will be held Monday, November 16, 2015 from 3:00 until 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Fairhope. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Lawrence Catholic Church. A private interment will be held at Montrose Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Mobile Opera or Thomas Hospital.
