Rose Coleman White

Rose Coleman White, a servant of the Lord Jesus Christ, died at her home in Loxley, Al on November 9, with family in attendance under the care of Covenant Hospice. Born on June 5, 1927, in Uniontown, AL to Dr S L Coleman and Martha McGinniss Coleman, Rose was preceded in death by her husband, R Patrick White; son, Edward (Ted ) Sidney White; sisters, Mary Tisdale Coleman Holliman, Natalie Coleman Millar and Emma Brown Davis Daugherty; brothers, James W. Brown and Harley P Brown, infant daughter, Patricia White. Surviving family members: sister Martha Brown Tissington, and brother Dr S L Coleman (Beverly), daughters Scotti Dixon (Jerry) and Lilah Sanders (Tommy), grandchildren; Matt White (Tandy), Pat White (Ashley), Dr David Dixon (Paige), Hallie Dixon, Rev Rob Dixon (Amanda), Larin Dees, Jr (Renee), Meg Clark (Matt) and Natalie Dukes (Steve); daughter in law, Janet West Penry and son in law, Larin F Dees, Sr., 21 great-grandchildren and many other relatives. Rose was a blessing to her family, friends and everyone she met. Thanks be to God for her life and witness to the Lord, Jesus Christ. Her Celebration of Life service will be held at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, Daphne, Friday, November 13, at 11:00 with the family receiving friends one hour prior to service time. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, Wounded Warriors, The Refuge for Women, or Covenant Hospice.
