Joanne Hoggard Wasserman

Joanne Hoggard Wasserman, age 75, a lifelong resident of Virginia Beach passed away Thursday, November 12, 2015 in Fairhope, AL. Joanne was a loving mother and caring loyal friend; an active member with strong faith of Virginia Beach United Methodist Church, where she served as Stephens Minister, the Charles Wesley choir and bell choir. Joanne was a gifted musician whose love of music was shared with all of those around her. She graduated from Hollins College in 1961 where she majored in music. She is preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Mildred Hardee Hoggard. She is survived by her daughter, Amy Upton and her husband, Robert of Fairhope; son, David Wasserman of Fairfax, VA; four grandchildren, Kyle Upton and his wife, Erin of Richmond, VA; Natalie Upton of Fairhope; Alexis Upton of Fairhope and Robbie Upton of Fairhope.
