Roy Rex Pumphrey

PUMPHREY SUMMERDALE, AL. Roy Rex Pumphrey, age 85, a resident of Summerdale, AL., passed away Wednesday, December 9, 2015. He was a Korean War veteran and a member of the Summerdale Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his parents, Virgil and Irene Pumphrey, sister; Lois Pumphrey and a brother; Glen Pumphrey. Survivors include his wife of 61years, Jerry Kathyrn Pumphrey of Summerdale, Al; children, Mark Steven (Ann) Pumphrey of Silverhill, AL., Mark Patrick (Karen) Pumphrey of Foley, AL., brothers; Lloyd Pumphrey of Summerdale, AL., Mickey Pumphrey of Uriah, AL., three grandchildren; Eric Pumphrey, Ryan Pumphrey, Megan Skinner, four great grandchildren; Kensley Pumphrey, Emory Pumphrey, Kingston Miller, Jett Skinner; other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Foley on Saturday, December 12, 2015 at 2pm. The family will receive friends from 12:30pm until time of the service . Interment will follow at Pine Rest Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers the family suggest donations be made to Summerdale Baptist church.
