Betty McDonald

Betty Long McDonald--Born September 29, 1927. A native of Mobile, AL and a resident of Fairhope, Al for many years died Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at Golden Living Center in Foley. She was a very special person who always looked for the good in others and loved her family and friends with a huge heart. Her outlook on life was to look on the bright side and to look past life’s daily troubles. She was preceded in death by her husband of 28 years, John Earle McDonald; her father, James Mason Long, and her mother, Gladys Elizabeth Long . She is survived by her daughter, Betty Oliver (Randy) Murchison, and her son, Alonzo Edward ”Butch” (Barbie) Oliver along with two step-daughters, Patricia Elizabeth McDonald (Buddy) Stanford and Susan Kimberly McDonald (Dr. Paul) Gully; ten grandchildren and 22 great-grand children. A graveside funeral service was held on Friday, November 27, 2015 at 2:00 P.M.in Memory Gardens of Fairhope with Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home officiating. The service was conducted by the Reverend Kenny Pierce.
