James David Packer

DAPHNE James David Packer, age 86, a resident of Daphne, departed this world peacefully on December 8, 2015, surrounded by his family and friends. James was a faithful member of Bay Ridge Baptist Church where he served as Sunday school Superintendent and Deacon. He later joined Revelation Baptist Church where he served under the Leadership of Reverend C. L. Holloway. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ashley and Nancy Packer; brothers, George, Roosevelt, Fred, Joseph and John Packer; sister, Lucille Howard. His memories rest in the hearts of those he cherished most, his loving wife of 64 years, Carrie Packer; daughters, Genevia (Tommy) Taylor of the Villages, FL., Susan Packer of Daphne; four sons, James (Fannie) Thomasville, of GA., Herman (devoted friend, Sabrina Ford), of Daphne, Earl (Cheryl) Packer of Daphne, Darren (Devoted friend of Genevs Parrish) of Mobile; two sisters, Mattie Nettles and Parthenia Jennings of Cincinnati, OH; Two brothers, Ashley Packer of Cincinnati, OH., Johnnie Packer of , OH; nine grandchildren, Thirteen great-grandchildren; six sisters-in-law; five brothers-in-law; a host of other loving nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral services will be held, Tuesday, December 15, 2015 at 11:00AM at Revelation Baptist Church. Family will receive friends 10:00AM until time of service. Interment will follow at Jubilee Memorial Gardens.
