Mary Lee Redditt

DAPHNE Mrs. Mary Lee Redditt. beloved wife, mother, friend and servant of the Lord, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, January 24, 2010, at the age of 85. A native of Pleasant Home, AL, she moved to the Mobile area in 1942 and served her country during WW II by taking a position at Western Union, where she worked alongside many associates who would become her lifelong friends. She later worked at BLP Mobile Paint for over ten years and maintained steadfast friendships after her retirement. She moved to Daphne with her family in 1964 and was a devoted member of Daphne Baptist Church, serving as a Sunday School Teacher for young children for over fifty years, and as a member of the choir. Mrs. Redditt was preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Laura Lassiter, brothers, Frank and Dudley Lassiter, sister, Wilma Lynn and her beloved husband, Frank Grey Redditt, Sr. She is survived by her sons, Frank Grey (Elizabeth) Redditt, Jr., and Mark Lyons (Mary) Redditt; grandchildren, Christian Grey Redditt and girlfriend, Melissa Owen, Robert Page Redditt and fiance, Jessica Brown, Katherine Elizabeth (Wayne) Phillips, Mark Lyons Redditt, Jr., Robert Chase Redditt; great-granddaughters, Bradley Reece Phillips, Ella Katherine Phillips and Anna Claire Phillips; loving caregivers Louise Jones, Catherine Meggs, Ulander Scott, Sharon Meggs; and many loving friends. The family will receive friends, Thursday, January 28, 2010, from 10-11 am at Daphne Baptist Church, 1515 6th Street, Daphne, AL. Funeral services will begin at 11am from the church. Interment will follow at Daphne Baptist Church Cemetery.
