Oscar George Traczewitz

FAIRHOPE , AL O scar GeorgeTraczewitz, 91, died Wednesday, May 5, 2010 in Fairhope , AL .  He was a native of Milwaukee , WI and a resident of Fairhope. Mr. Traczewitz was a U.S. Navy Veteran of WWII.  He received both a BS and MA degrees in Forestry from the University of Michigan .  Mr. Traczewitz was a past president of Forest Farmers Association.  He was a former Director of American  Pulpwood Association and a member of the Society of American Foresters.  He retired from International Paper, Inc. in 1980 after thirty-nine years of service. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty, and son, Terrence Traczewitz. He is survived by two children, Oscar Traczewitz II of Collierville , TN and Patti Haynie of Mobile ; four grandchildren; and seven  great grandchildren. A visitation will be held Monday, May 10, 2010 from 2-3 pm  at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home in Fairhope, followed by a Memorial service at 3:00.
