Lucy Pegues Durant

DAPHNE Lucy Pegues Durant, age 89, a native of Marion, AL and a resident of Daphne, passed away on Monday, June 7, 2010. Lucy received a Masters Degree in Counseling from University of South Alabama.  She was an active member of Central Presbyterian Church in Mobile for 60 years; a founding member of Lake Forest Garden Club & Women’s Club; a member of the Mobile Pilot Club; and a member of  the ADK Teachers Sorority. She is survived by one son: Winston Durant (Janet Horst) of Daphne, one daughter: Charlotte Singletary (Ernest) of Pell City, two brothers: B. B. Pegues, Jr. of Marion Junction,  J. R. Pegues of Birmingham;  five grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held on Friday, June 11, 2010 at 2:00 pm from Memory Gardens of Fairhope.   Visitation will be held on Friday, June 11, 2010 from 12:00 - 1:00 pm at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home in Daphne.
