William Thomas Boland

DAPHNEWilliam Thomas Boland, age 81, a native of Chicago, IL and a resident of Daphne, passed away Thursday, July 8, 2010 in Fairhope, . Mr Boland was a U. S. Air Force veteran of the Korean conflict. He was a longtime fan of the Notre Dame Fighting Irish and the Chicago Cubs. Mr. Boland was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Ave Maria Council, Schiller Park, IL. He retired from Kodak with thirty eight years of service. After retirement, he and his wife relocated to Daphne, AL in 1990. He became an active member at the Lake Forest Yacht Club, Inc and an avid golfer. He is survived by his wife LaVerne M. Boland of Daphne; their four children, Kevin W. (Karen) Boland of Addison, IL, Deborah M. (Laurence) Thomas of Granger, IN, Patricia A. (Vincent) Miller of South Bend, IN, Kim D. (Elliot) Clancy of Addison, IL; eight grandchildren: Bill Thomas of Chicago, IL, Kevin Boland of Addison, IL, Kara Utech of Batavia, IL, Sara Thomas of Denver, CO, Katie Boland of Addison, IL, Jessica Johnson of South Bend, IN, Ryan Carson of Addison, IL, Travis Miller of South Bend, IN; one great-grandson: Audric Johnson of South Bend, IN. A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, July 13, 2010 at 11:00 am from the chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home in Daphne, Alabama. The family will receive friends from 10-11 am at the funeral home. He will be missed by all those who knew and loved him.
