Dwight William Prouty

DAPHNE Dwight William Prouty passed away Saturday, August 28, 2010 in Daphne at the age of 69.  He was a native of Mobile and a resident of Daphne.  Dwight was a 1963 graduate of Auburn University where he received a Bachelors Degree in Chemical Engineering.  He founded the Dwight W. Prouty Company, Inc in 1969.  Dwight was an avid outdoorsman and loved spending time with friends and family hunting and fishing. He is survived by his wife, Gina Prouty of Daphne;  one son, Dwight "Jed" (Michelle) Prouty of Spanish Fort;  two daughters, MIchelle (Rick) Lafond of Tampa, FL,  Dawn Leslie Prouty of Spanish Fort;  two sisters, Barbara Yeager and Alfreda Brannon, both of Mobile;  and eight grandchildren, Taylor, Kaleigh, Ashton, Joslyn, Cole, Brittney, Connor and Camden. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Heidi Leigh Prouty. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 1, 2010 from 5:00-7:00 PM at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home in Daphne.  Funeral services will be Thursday, September 2, 2010 at 10:00 AM from the chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home. Interment will be at Montrose Cemetery.
