Rose Elizabeth Buttafiori

FAIRHOPE, AL Rose Elizabeth Buttafiori, 89, passed away on September 1, 2010 after a brief illness. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, September 5th at 2:00 at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, 19698 Greeno Road, Fairhope, Al. Rose was born in Marlboro, New York on December 16, 1920 to Joseph and Josephine Truncali. She had four sisters and one brother and grew up on the Marlboro family farm. In 1939 Rose married Joseph Buttafiori of New York City. They resided in Newburgh, NY and had two daughters Loretta and Diane. Rose was employed by Sears, in Newburgh as a credit and collection supervisor, retiring after twenty years. In 1979 Rose and Joe, now both retired, moved to Silverhill and then Fairhope. They were active in the Foley Senior Center playing bridge, dancing and traveling. Rose also enjoyed gardening and reading, and was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church. Rose was a devoted, loving wife and mother and will be greatly missed by her family. Rose is survived by daughter Loretta LaMothe and husband Kenneth Smith of Heath, TX and Angel Fire, NM; daughter Diane Booth and husband Leonard of Humble, TX; and five grandsons: Edward LaMothe of Fort Worth, TX; Guy LaMothe of Antwerp, NY; Eric LaMothe of Seattle, WA; Ryan Booth of Mobile, AL; Devin Booth of College Station, TX.
