FAIRHOPE, AL Shirley Wheeler McDonald, age 76, a native a San Antonio, TX, a longtime resident of Bastrop, LA, and a current resident of Fairhope, AL, passed away Sunday, November 28, 2010. Shirley graduated from St. Vincent’s High School in Shreveport, LA in 1952 were she receive the honor as salutatorian. She then received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Business from Louisiana Tech University. Mrs. McDonald lived in Bastrop, LA from 1964 until 1997, were she was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. She also was a Life Master at Bridge and taught it at the Nix Center in Fairhope, AL. Mrs. McDonald was preceded in death by her husband, Williams F. McDonald. She is survived by herdaughter, Lisa McDonald Barker,son, Mark William McDonald and his wife Joni, all of Fairhope,grandchildren, Jennifer Price and her husband Dusty of Pensacola, FL,Paul Thomas, of Philadelphia, PA,Henry, Charles, Grace and Cooper McDonald, all of Fairhope,great grandson, Nathaniel Price,sister, Joan Wheeler Gregg and her husband Don, of Garland, TX,brother, Robert “Bob” Wheeler and his wife Pam, of Shreveport, LA,nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Fairhope, Thursday, December 2, 2010, at 11:00am. The family will receive friends from 9:30am until service time.
