Alfred Lewis Cutrone, Jr.

Alfred Lewis Cutrone Jr., beloved husband, father, son and brother, was called home to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, July 1, 2023, at the age of 63. A longtime resident of Fairhope, Alabama, Al was born on March 3, 1960, in Fairmont, West Virginia to Alfred and Nettie Cutrone. He attended Fairmont State College and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in both Mining and Mechanical Engineering. Desiring to further his education, Al later obtained an MBA from Averett University. He had a long, distinguished, global career in the Chemicals, Polymers, and Fibers Industry, always striving for operational excellence while choosing to lead by example. Al was a member of First Baptist Church in Fairhope and enjoyed serving whenever he could. He especially looked forward to attending the Mighty Men of Prayer gatherings on Tuesday mornings. More often than not, a group would gather afterwards for breakfast to further enjoy a special time of fellowship. He was always listening to music while dancing around the house and the yard, encouraging his family to join in. Al, by nature, was a “fixer” of all things. Whether that be for his children, own home, or while visiting family. When he got an idea in his head that something needed “fixing”, he was all in, completely committed to helping his family and friends. If he didn’t know how to do it himself, he’d research until he did or found the appropriate people. Always thinking of others first, he would rather give to or help someone in need rather than himself. In addition to helping others, Al also enjoyed exercising, fishing, and having ice cream down by the bay. Most importantly, he loved spending time with his family. Al was married for 38 years and is survived by his wife Chris Cutrone of Fairhope, AL; daughter Whitney Cutrone of Brandon, FL; son, Nicholas Cutrone of Daphne, AL; parents, Alfred and Nettie Cutrone of Williamsburg, VA; sisters Terry Grimm (Bill) of Chesapeake, VA and Crystal Roberts (Charlie) of Toano, VA; along with many other loving family members and friends. A Celebration of Life Service honoring Al will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, July 12, 2023, at First Baptist Church of Fairhope, 300 S. Section St. Fairhope, AL 36532. Private interment to follow.
