She was born on Sept. 27, 1935, in Schumacher, Ontario, Canada to Ontario (Tye) and Rigoletta (Rig) Pierini. She was predeceased by husband Hubert (Bud) Graham, whom she married on January 10, 1959. She leaves behind her two sisters: Pauline Alex (Sarasota, FL) and Doreen (Bill) Medalis (Henderson, Nevada); five children: Dan Graham (Atlanta, GA), Chris Pelto and Patty (David) Schultze of Fairhope, Paul Graham (Naples, FL), James (Jennifer) Graham (Dade City, FL); 11 grandchildren: Elysse (John) Fleece, Aaron Pelto, Max Pelto, John (Cortney) Schultze, Zack (Allie) Schultze, Lindsay Schultze, Joseph Graham, Krista Graham, Nick Graham, Ben Graham and Jonathan Graham; eight great-grandchildren and nephew Greg Alex. Anita’s family moved from Canada to Wyandotte, MI when she was 12. After marrying, she and Bud raised their family in Michigan and Texas, then lived in Florida and Georgia before she came to Fairhope in 2013. Anita had a variety of occupations: AT&T operator, bookkeeper, school bus driver, cashier, and stocker at Publix. She retired as a salesperson from Sears. A game enthusiast, Anita loved cards the most. She was active in Pinochle and Bridge clubs (Life Master level), and enjoyed Euchre, Rummy, Gin Rummy, and any kind of Poker. An avid bowler, Anita was on many teams and leagues throughout her life. She played volleyball (loved to set the ball) for many years. Anita also enjoyed shopping, lunches out and doing jigsaw puzzles with friends. She was a gentle soul who will be missed by all who knew her. A celebration of Anita’s life will be held Saturday, July 15 at 1:00 PM CST at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home in Fairhope. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to The Haven Animal Shelter (havenforanimals.org) in Fairhope.
