ARTHUR WESLEY STAPLETON FAIRHOPE, ALABAMA Arthur Wesley Stapleton, 94, a native and lifetime resident of Fairhope, Alabama died peacefully at Thomas Hospital on September 23, 2022. Wesley was born May 7, 1928, to Arthur and Hazel Stapleton. He married Beverly Patrick Stapleton on March 31, 1951. Wesley is preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Hazel Stapleton, and his older Sister, Audrey Stapleton. He is survived by his wife, Bebe, his children Kim Fobes, Wes Stapleton (Carol), and Jeffrey Stapleton, his 4 grandchildren, Gray Fobes (Julia), Lauren Spencer (Jeffrey), Artie Stapleton, and Kenne Stapleton, and 5 great grandchildren David, Crue, Henry, Finn, and Sibley. Wesley was a business owner and home builder as well as an avid hunter, fisherman, and grass mower. He had many accomplishments in his 94 years, but was most proud to be a member at St. James Episcopal Church, two-time Commodore of the Fairhope Yacht Club, and Past Master of the Greeno Masonic Lodge #598. The funeral will be at Wolfe Funeral Home in Fairhope on Monday, September 26, 2022 at 2:00pm. Visitation will be from 1:00pm to 2:00pm with the funeral service immediately following the visitation.
