Barbara McCullers Huckabee

FAIRHOPE, AL.

Barbara Gail McCullers Huckabee, Age 79, a lifelong resident of Fairhope currently residing in Montgomery, Alabama passed away on Saturday, September 6, 2025, in Montgomery.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Allaway Huckabee, her parents, James Edward McCullers and Verla Appling McCullers; a daughter, Shannon Works and a stepdaughter, Jacki White.

Survivors include one son, Cliff (Beth) Huckabee of Montgomery, AL; two stepsons, Frank (Cindy) Huckabee of Mobile, AL, and Mike (Anita) Huckabee of Kiln, MS; one step daughter, Nita (Chad) Coleman of Fairhope, AL; four grandchildren; two great grandchildren; numerous step grandchildren; great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren; numerous friends and other relatives.

Mrs. Huckabee was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother, a member of First Baptist Church Fairhope, retired from the Baldwin County Public School System as a Support Personnel, and a member of the Red Hat Society. She and Mr. Huckabee were former owners of the Ye’Old Time Ice Crème Parlor in Fairhope, and she was also owner/ operator of a dress shop.

She enjoyed traveling, R.V. camping, and was an avid football fan. She also liked watching Hallmark movies and doing word puzzles. She especially liked spending time with her family and friends.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, September 14, 2025, at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Fairhope from 12:30pm until time of the service at 2:00pm at the chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home Fairhope.

Rev. Winston Brooks will officiate.

Interment will be in Colony Cemetery following service.
