In Loving Memory of Barry Lee Winters
Barry Lee Winters, age 81, a native of Gahanna, Ohio, and a resident of Fairhope, Alabama, passed away on Wednesday, October 21, 2026.
Barry was an amazing husband, father, Papa, and friend who touched the lives of everyone who knew him. He shared 56 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Connie, and took great pride in his children, Heather and Bryant.
One of Barry’s greatest joys was being Papa to his granddaughters, Anastasia, Sydney, and Addison. He never missed an opportunity to watch them dance and was always their biggest fan. His fun, silly personality brought laughter to those around him, and his family will forever cherish the memories they shared.
Barry was excited to meet his first great-grandson, Ford, and looked forward to this special new chapter in his family’s life.
Barry was proud to have served his country in the United States Navy. He loved working on cars in his garage, was proud of earning his pilot’s license, and enjoyed relaxing with a good cigar and friends.
Barry’s last words to his daughter Heather were, “Heather, I’ve had a great life.” These words beautifully reflect a life filled with family, friendship, and the things he loved most.
Barry leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and treasured memories. He will be forever loved, deeply missed, and never forgotten.
He was preceded in death by: His mother, Patricia Winters; his father, Lee Winters; and his brother, Mike Winters.
Barry is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Connie Lynn Winters; his children, Heather (Zachary) Ford and Bryant Winters; his sisters, Peggy Young and Colleen (Alan) Hall; his granddaughters, Anastasia (Hunter) Harrelson, Sydney Ford, and Addison Ford; and his first great-grandson, Ford Harrelson.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, October 29, 2026, at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home in Fairhope, at 2:00pm
The family will begin visitation from 1:00–2:00 p.m.
