Bernard Lee Fox

Bernard Lee Fox, age 73, of Fairhope, AL, passed away peacefully on July 9th, 2026 in his home. Born in Pontiac, MI on October 16th 1952 to Melvin Fox and Ruth (Powell) Fox. Bernie was the epitome of dedication, hard work and love. 

Bernie graduated from Pontiac Northern High School. He spent 30.3 years working at General Motors in Pontiac, Michigan. He prided himself on his knowledge of the production line while building American made vehicles. Bernie had an unmatched work ethic and developed many friendships at the plant. He was known for his sense of humor, quick wit, and unwavering work ethic. His hobbies included gardening, fishing, woodworking, and tinkering. Beyond his work, Bernie was a loving father to Sarah and Amanda and a proud Papa to three granddaughters.

He is survived by his children Sarah (Jon) Walker, Amanda Fox, his grandchildren Audrey Walker, Hazel Walker and Danilynn Fox-Coulter, his beloved dog Lucy, his sister Mary Ellen (Doug) Meyer, and his sister-in-law Judy Fox. He was preceded in death by parents Melvin and Ruth Fox, and brother Richard Fox.

Bernie's legacy is one of faith, resilience and love. His family invites all who knew him to a Celebration of Life on Thursday, July 16th. Visitation begins at 10:00 AM; followed by a service in the chapel at 11:00 AM @Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home. 27409 U.S. Hwy 98 Daphne, AL 36526
