Bernard L. "Leo" Hager, Jr.

Bernard L. (Leo) Hager, Jr., age 79, passed away on August 3, 2026. He was a resident of Stockton, Alabama.

He was born in Colorado to Frances and Bernard L. Hager, Sr. who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Gary L. Hager and three sisters Brenda Hager Browning, Sharron Hager David, and Norine Hager Varner.

He is survived by his wife of 12 years, Mary Lambard Hager. His daughters Sonya Hager Brown, Rhonda Hager Sharpton, stepson Jimmy A. Papis, Jr., stepdaughter Lauren Griffin, 9 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and lifelong friend Charles Loftin.

He graduated from Baker High School in 1965 and worked as a Union Ironworker and carpenter on new home construction. Leo also spent time working in the shipyards. Leo was an avid hunter and fisherman. He also loved cooking for his friends.

Leo's memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on August 22, 2026 at Grace Tabernacle Baptist Church, 2001 Dawes Rd. Mobile, AL.

A graveside service will follow at 4:00 p.m. at Lambard Family Cemetery, 362 Madison Road. Gainestown, AL
