Bernice Virginia Helton, age 78, a resident of Foley, Alabama, passed away on February 29, 2024.

Bernice was a member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Foley. She was a wonderful, caring wife, mother, and grandmother who was affectionately called “Nanny B.”

Bernice is survived by her daughter, Sherry Franklin of Foley; sons, Nicholas Franklin of Foley and Steven Franklin of Foley; sisters, Lillian Clems of Michigan and Helena Harris of Mobile, AL; brother, Sidney Howard; grandchildren, Amber Resmondo, Valerie Miller, Matthew Franklin, Nicholas William Franklin, Lilli Franklin, and Mason Brock Franklin; several great grandchildren; and many other loving relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home in Foley, AL, on Tuesday, March 5, 2024, at 5:00 pm.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. 

 In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association at www.alz.org.
