Betty Egbert Holt

Betty Egbert Holt, 77, passed away peacefully early November 15, 2024. Born December 28, 1946, in North Carolina, Betty moved with family to Gulf Shores, AL the following year where she resided until her passing.

 A graduate of Foley High School, Betty was a dedicated mother to 3 boys. She was a special friend to many, fostering enduring bonds that lasted since childhood. Her warm and loving spirit extended to her many feline friends which she cared for over the years. Her final years were spent living with family, close to her children and grandchildren. 

Preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Iris Egbert; brother Jimmy Egbert and Richard Holt, (divorced) the father of her children. 

Betty is survived by brother Bo Egbert (Dee); sister-in-law Eddie Egbert (Jimmy); sons, Don Holt, Brian Holt (Nicole), and Jason Holt (Kathryn); grandchildren Maddox Tabb and Merritt Holt, in addition to many friends and extended family that love her dearly. 

A small gathering for family and friends will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her honor to the Baldwin Humane Society.
