Beverly Jean Potter, 80, from Fairhope, AL, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 2, 2026, surrounded by her family. Jeannie was born June 19, 1946, to Harvey (Bubba) and Iola (Cotton) Graham at Providence Hospital in Mobile, AL. She attended Point Clear School and Fairhope High School. Jeannie will be remembered as a wonderful wife, loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She valued family over everything. She was a wonderful cook and for many years cooked three meals a day for her family. Under her graduation picture in her yearbook was written "Smile and the whole world smiles with you," which she carried throughout her life.

She was known in her family for loving a good prank, as long as she wasn't the target!

Jeannie is preceded in death by her parents, Bubba and Cotton Graham; her husband, Robert J Potter; granddaughter, Chrissy Danielle Potter; and son-in-law, Rodney A Sloan.

She is survived by her five children, Danny (Denvia) Potter, Brenda Sloan, Lisa Potter, Patti Childress (John Eric) and Coleman Potter,

eight grandchildren, Carrie Potter, Dillon Creamer, Collin (Gentry) Creamer, Bronson (Jessa) Sloan, Colby Childress, Bailey Childress, Kyle Potter, and Cole (Mary) Potter, six great grandchildren, Colt Potter, Cash Potter, Cade Potter, Harper Creamer, Merritt Sloan, and Beau Potter, two sisters, Alice Krueger, Pat (Gene) Campbell, and one brother Tommy Graham.

The family would like to acknowledge Jeannie's granddaughter, Carrie Potter, for the care she has given to her Nana over the past 6 years. There aren't enough words to express their gratitude and love for what she did.

Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Fairhope, on Thursday, August 6, 2026, at 11:00 am. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:00 am until the service begins.

Interment will follow at Brook-­Cedron Cemetery in Barnwell, AL.
