Bill Morrison

December 23, 1914 — November 8, 1944

PFC. Bill Morrison, 29, a resident of Bessmer, AL was declared MIA, then later KIA on November 8, 1944 in the Huertgen Forest near Simonskall, Germany. He was born in Birmingham, Alabama, on December 23, 1914. Morrison enlisted in the United States Army at Fort McPherson, Georgia on October 23, 1941. He served in Company G, 2nd Battalion, 110th Infantry Regiment, 28th Infantry division, in the European Theater during WWII. Morrison was the oldest of three sons, a devoted son and brother. He is preceded in death by his parents, Henry W. Morrison and Maggie (Hamner) Morrison of Cottondale, also Lum (Edwina) Morrison of Fairhope and Joe (Nora) Morrison of Cottondale. He is survived by Nephews and Nieces, Lum (Lanora) Morrison of Spanish Fort, Joe Morrison of Mobile, Billy (Margaret) Morrison and Fred Morrison of Fairhope, Mary (Billy) Donald of Fairhope, Belinda (Keith) Toft of Dothan, Eli (Debra) Morrison of Cottondale and Vicky (Robbie) Walker of Cottondale. Morrison is also survived by Cousins and many Great, Great-Great and Great-Great-Great Nephews and Nieces. An Interment will take place at Alabama State Veterans Memorial Cemetery on March 4, 2022, at 1:30 in Spanish Fort. Family to accept friends at the Cemetery.
