Bobby Lee
Rucker
Sep 12, 1975 — Sep 2, 2026
Robertsdale
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Bobby Rucker on September 2, 2026, surrounded by his loving family at Thomas Hospital in Fairhope, Alabama.
Born on September 12, 1975, in Pascagoula, Mississippi, Bobby was a cherished son of Elsie Mae and Larry Gene Rucker, both of whom predeceased him. Bobby's journey through life was marked by his loyalty, devotion, and the deep friendships he formed along the way. He graduated from Baker High School in Mobile, Alabama, in 1992, and furthered his education at the Southeast College of Technology, where he earned a degree in Industrial Electronics.
His professional life was equally distinguished, as he made significant contributions as a Press Operator/Foreman at The Mobile Press Register and later as an Industrial Field Service Technician with Swift Industrial. Beyond his professional achievements, Bobby was a passionate outdoorsman. He delighted in the tranquility of fishing, the challenge of hunting, and the camaraderie of playing golf. His fondness for the 19th hole was well-known among his friends, with whom he shared countless memorable moments on and off the course.
Bobby was a devoted father to his beloved children, Peyton Anthony Rucker and Collin Lee Rucker, who were the light of his life. Also survived by former spouse Christine Clarke Rucker in which they shared many years. He also leaves behind his cherished brother, Owen G. Rucker, who will forever hold dear the memories they created together.
A service to celebrate Bobby's life will be held on September 11, 2026, at St. Margaret's Church in Foley, Alabama. Family, friends, and all whose lives were touched by Bobby are invited to gather in remembrance and gratitude for the time shared with him. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to a charity of your choice in Bobby's memory.
This gesture will honor his generous spirit and the kindness he extended to all who knew him. Bobby's legacy is one of love, friendship, and a life lived with passion and purpose. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him. May he rest in peace.
