Bruce Charles Henke

Bruce Charles Henke, 88, passed peacefully in Daphne, AL on Tuesday, April 2, 2026. 

Born and raised in Ridgefield Park, NJ, he graduated from Ridgefield Park High School class of 1955. He went on to become an Air Traffic Controller in the United States Air Force, serving his country in England and France. Upon returning to the U.S. he met the love of his life and dear wife, Nancy Tiel Bouton. They married at Grace Episcopal Church of Westwood, NJ in 1960 and went on to have two precious daughters, Susan and Karen. Bruce was a devoted employee, working with the United Parcel Service from 1960 until his retirement in 1993. He had a deep appreciation for dedication and hard work throughout his lifetime.

Bruce is survived by his daughter, Karen, grandchildren; Sarah and Brian, Taylor and Eric, Maggie, Emma, and Zachary; great-grandchildren Milo and Robin; son-in-law, David; brother-in-law, Jay; sister-in-law, Mary; and his many relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy and their daughter, Susan. He will be remembered for his love of world travel, getting to share experiences with family, golf, and enjoying the waters of Mobile Bay. He will be dearly missed by his family and many special friends. 

Memorial Service to be held at St. James Episcopal Church, Fairhope, AL, on June 20th at 2:00pm.
