Carol Maxine Laity

Carol M. Laity, a native of Longmont, Colorado and a resident of Fairhope, Alabama, passed away Tuesday, August 5, 2025, at the age of 77.

She graduated from Longmont High School with high honors. She attended Rocky Mount trade school for truck driver training and was an over-the-road for 12 years with Carretta Trucking.

She was a lifelong member of the VFW, DAV, and Moose Lodge.

She was the very best Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother. She loved her dog Fancy, and all animals.

Carol enjoyed living in Fairhope and spending as much time as she could with family. She also enjoyed time at Pelican Point just talking and watching the water. She liked to watch her “shows” and was very kind, humble, generous, and was a very happy person.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Budd and Laura Faye Pitchford and a sister, Ms. Charlene Stratton of St. Charles, MO.

She is survived by her daughter, Annetta Fortin of Fairhope, AL; grandchildren, Dylan Fortin (Tiffany), Rebecca Fortin; great grandchildren, Ava Fortin and Strider Fortin, all of Fairhope; numerous other relatives and many dear friends.
