Catherine Ann Scapecchi Woerner

Catherine Ann Scapecchi Woerner 72, of Elberta, Alabama entered heaven peacefully on Tuesday, August 25, 2026.

She was born on November 7, 1953, in Springfield, Illinois as the beloved daughter of Walter and Bernadette Scapecchi. Catherine lived a long life filled with grace, warmth and dedication to her family. Her kindness and love for those around her will forever be missed and cherished by all who knew her. Catherine was a woman of profound faith and deep dedication to her Lord and Savior.

Catherine was proceeded in death by her parents, Walter and Bernadette Scapecchi; two brothers, Thomas Scapecchi and Paul Scapecchi.

She is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, Norman Woerner; her daughter Blake Higgins with spouse Jarrod Higgins, children Rylie, Kymberll and Koen Higgins; stepson, Nicholaus Woerner with spouse Rebecca Woerner, and daughter Katelyn Stegall. Her siblings; Victor Scapecchi with Joyce Tavernier, Steve married to Rita Scapecchi, Marcella Scapecchi married to Julian Matei, Lisa married to Robert Timmerman, Lawrence married to Sarita Scapecchi, and numerous loving nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home of Foley, 2551 S. McKenzie Street Foley, Alabama 36535, on Saturday, August 29, 2026. Visitation at 2PM, Service at 3PM. Burial at 4PM at Lay Cemetery 21431 Lay Lane, Foley, Alabama 36535, followed by a Celebration of Life at 5PM at Norman and Cathy’s home, 26267 Norman Woerner Lane Elberta, Alabama 36530.
