Cheryl Markland

Cheryl Markland, age 67, resident of Elberta, Alabama, passed way on October 21st, 2026 in Daphne, Alabama due to pancreatic cancer. 

She was born on November 15th, 1958 in Opelousas, Louisiana to her parents Clara White and William Taylor. She attended Foley Highschool. She was a determined and appreciated manager at Surfstyle for over 30 years. 

She is survived by her mother Clara White. Her six children; Michael Higgins, Robin Higgins, Anessia Ridenour, Alisha Hix, Kimberly Markland, and Randi Brown. Her twelve grandchildren; William Higgins, Ethan Yakhin, Orel Harush, Maayan Harush, Avigail Harush, Opal Higgins, Trey Ridenour, Tristan Ridenour, Jessi Dade, Noah Hix, Lucas Hix, and Taylor Hix. Her four siblings; Sandra Williams, Russell Taylor, Kimberly Langford, and Douglas White. 

The family gives their immense thanks to Dr. Kurts, as well as, the rest of her dedicated and encouraging medical staff. The service will be held on Saturday, October 24th, 2026 at 3:00pm from Elberta Church, Elberta, AL.

Internment will follow at Elberta Public Cemetery.
