Christine N. Lawson

Christine Nelson Lawson born (Zadie Christine Nelson) August 19, 1922, in Fayette, AL ended her 100 years, 8 months and 11 days here on earth on April 30, 2023. She is survived by one sister (Nell), three children (Betty, Eva, Rick), five grandchildren (Christy, Jimmy, Michelle, Melissa, Kim), six great-grandchildren (Jessica, Hunter, Brooke, Taylor, Madelyn, Raylan), and one great-great grandson (Everett), and several nieces and nephews. Christine was one of eight children. Living most of her adult life in Birmingham, AL, for over 70-years in the home she and her husband (Elwood) built before she relocated to Fairhope, AL to be closer to family. She is a member of Fairhope Avenue Baptist Church. Christine passed peacefully at home surrounded by family. A true believer in Christ, ascended to heaven to serve as an angel of God. She now has her wings. Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Fairhope, Thursday, May 4, 2023, at 1:00pm The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time.
