Christine "Nanny" Cordell Williamson

Christine “Nanny” Cordell Williamson was a beloved great-grandmother, grandmother, mother, and wife during her incredible 93 years of life. She passed away peacefully in the early hours of Tuesday, April 5, 2022. Born in Dilworth, Alabama, she married Joe Oliver Williamson in the summer of 1947. Together they raised three children. Elaine, Wayne and Dale. Nanny was a spunky woman and loved to joke with everyone. She also loved country music, flea markets and the National Enquirer magazine. We will miss Nanny dearly, but we are so grateful for the time we had to spend with her. We will always feel her presence in our hearts. She is survived by her sister, Kathleen Cordell Phillips, daughter, Dale Williamson Cunningham, son-in-law, Harvey Wilburn Cunningham, granddaughter, Laura Elaine Cunningham Florey, grandson-in-law, David Patrick Florey, great-granddaughter, Jennifer Grace Florey, granddaughter Amanda Williamson Capps and grandson-in-law Brad Capps. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to your favorite charity.
