Clifford Benson McNaughton

Clifford Benson McNaughton, 95, a resident of Spanish Fort, went to his Heavenly reward on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at William F. Green State Veterans Home. He was born on January 18, 1930, in Butler, Alabama to Luther and Clara McNaughton. He was a plumber with Eddins Plumbing until his retirement. He served his country in the US Air Force and was a member of First Baptist Church in Spanish Fort. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Herston McNaughton, Alvin McNaughton; sister, Ora Cone; and son, Gary McNaughton.

Survivors include his loving wife of 70 years, Sue McNaughton; daughters, Karen Boone (Kevin) and Connie Benefield (Doug); grandchildren, Scott Boone (Coley), Candice Hammock (David), Brent Cotten (Kim), Courtney McNaughton, Brittany Luckie (Cory), and Ridge Benefield (Shea); and great grandchildren, Aubrey Cotten, Ty Cotten, Tripp Hammock, Lucy Boone, Crosby Luckie, Michael Boone, Riggs Benefield, Chandler Luckie, and Ripp Benefield.

Funeral services will be held at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home - Daphne Chapel, Thursday, October 30, 2025, at 11:00 am, officiated by Robert Baker. 

The family will receive friends, at the funeral home from 10:00 am until the service time.

Interment will follow in Jubilee Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Doug Benefield, Ridge Benefield, Kevin Boone, Scott Boone, Brent Cotten, and David Hammock.

The family would like to thank Community Hospice and William F. Green State Veterans Home. A special thanks is given to Kiara Betts, Amera Winkey, Alexis McReynolds, Teresha West, Lasharon Hodges, Kristi Baugh, Tycarrien Locke, Iesha Flowers, Selena Sullivan, Deon Lawson, Darcel Dortch, Orlean Stanley, and Alvin Simmon.
