Daisy Ray Moore, a resident of Fairhope, Alabama, passed away on November 3, 2025, at the age of 92.
With Meridian, Mississippi origins, Daisy Ray Seale branched out and blossomed in California, Texas, Georgia, back to Mississippi, Alabama, to Oregon, and then home to Fairhope, Alabama.
Daisy is survived by her four sons: Ray Bryan Moore, Gary Alan Moore (Kathy Hirz Moore), M. David Moore (Darren Whatley) and Paul Edwin Moore. She enjoyed her four grandchildren: Dr. Adams Moore (Dr. Claire Moore) in Mississippi; Kathleen Cecile Moore in Virginia; Jennifer Moore Hoback (Steve Hoback) in Oregon; Taylor Evans Moore in North Carolina; and, her great granddaughters Avery and Summer Hoback.
Along with her former husband, The Rev. Paul Bryan Moore, Daisy dug deep to create nourishing homes for her family in every town and in every ministry call. She encouraged in her family those things she cherished: loving relationships, faith in God, laughter, music, poetry, art, and dance. Daisy was also a public school educator for over thirty years and believed education is key to understanding and success in life. She continued to find purpose in song, poetry and prose as she was a published author and released a compact disc of her poetry and songs entitled Wings of Love: Songs, Stories & Poems
