Dana Michael Ruehle, 64, of Gulf Shores AL, passed away on Saturday, March 7, 2026. Born on February 20, 1962 in Athens, GA to the late Dr. John L. and Gail S. Ruehle.
Dana was a friendly, social man who knew no strangers. He loved to laugh, tell stories, entertain, pick on his friends and bring joy to others. Although one of his favorite phrases was “if you need some help, call somebody” he was the first one on the scene to help, no matter the situation, time or day. His generous spirit, quick wit, fierce competition and genuine love of life made every moment spent with him memorable.
After retiring from his 40-year career in the technology and service industry, Dana and his wife, Paula moved to their dream home in Gulf Shores, AL where he enjoyed entertaining, beach & pool time, golf, poker, boating, traveling, building, gardening, “tinkering” and most importantly spending time with his wife, daughter, family and friends.
Although he will be deeply missed, the memories he created and the love he shared will live on in the hearts of his family and friends forever.
He is survived by his loving wife, Paula Ruehle; daughter, Taylor Ruehle; brother, Mark Ruehle; sister, Kim Dickerson (& husband, Tracy); brother, Keith Ruehle (& wife Mercedes); nephew, Dr. Andrew Dickerson and niece, April Cassan (& husband Cameron).
Dana has requested no memorial service, however his life will be celebrated by his family privately in the months to come. In lieu of flowers, we ask that you donate to any charity close to your heart. This will honor his memory for each individual person who loved him.
