Daniel “Danny” R Moreau-McCoy, a longtime resident of Mobile/Spanish Fort, Alabama, passed away on Sunday, January 5, 2025, after a protracted battle with Parkinson’s, with his devoted husband Jason by his side.
Danny was born in 1962, in Sanitarium, California. He earned a Bachelor of Arts - Theology and a Master of Arts - History from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Danny spent his career in public service. He was a decorated Gulf War veteran, served in the Army, Navy and retired from the Coast Guard. Danny was also a retired Probation Officer with the Mobile County Sheriff’s Department. Danny was an avid reader, movie buff, artist and collector of art.
Danny is survived by Jason McCoy (spouse), Rick and Arlene Moreau (parents), Mickey and Lynn Moreau (brother/sister in law), Sadie Gunter (granddaughter), Micah Gunter (son in law).
